New Challenge - no bags
So, I know many of you probably already do this religiously, but I’ve set myself a challenge - as of today - to not accept a bag from a store for a month.
Now, I’m usually pretty good about this - but I will forget my green bags sometimes and just sigh to myself. So, this challenge is aimed at keeping me honest, and building the habit of carrying my own bags with me.
Anyone who is in the same position as me and would like to join in - leave a comment below!
Wish me luck!

Hi Jess, I love this idea
I’m going to try it for the rest of June!
I am usually pretty good at taking my own bags. But there are times when I just don’t think about it. I might have a think about something I can add to my car keys to trigger my memory…. hmmm, now you have me thinking

Hi A Jugging Mum - thanks for visiting/commenting, and good luck with the challenge! My first step is to ALWAYS make sure I have a few green bags in my car, and always take one when I walk up to the shops. But you’re right - it’s when you bring in the shopping, put it all away, and then put the bags in the corner… forget to take them out to the car… and next time you end up at the shops you just realise you’ve forgotten them again!
Always glad to get people thinking!

I take my ‘green’ bags with me at times. But the plastic bags I do get I reuse for my garbage bags, both at home & work. If I didn’t get them at the grocery store I’d then have to buy them to wrap my rubbish in to keep it secure and not end up all over the street.

I guess we do need those plastic bags for some things, Gaida - although I’d love to find an alternative…

[...] I said “Oh, I don’t need a bag thanks!” (how could I face you all in light of my No Bags Challenge if I took one?). So, once she had scanned them, I took a moment to precariously balance my cans [...]
